Shanghai Gaoqiao BASF Dispersions
Co., Ltd., located in the northeastern part of Pudong, is a
high-tech chemical joint venture (50:50) between Sinopec and
BASF. It was founded in 1986 and currently employs more than
190 people. Its main product is XSB-Latex, a raw material used
as binder in paper, carpet, construction, adhesives and
non-woven industries.

production lines equipped with state-of-the-art technology developed
by BASF, it's annual production capacity was increased up to 210,000
tons in 2005. It is so far the biggest supplier of latex in China
and continuously enjoys a good reputation as provider of high quality
products and excellent after-sales service.
The company focuses on adopting international advanced management
systems. After being certified ISO9002 for the quality system in
1994, it was one of the first companies in China to be certificated
ISO14001 for the environmental management system and OHSMS (Occupational
Health and Safety Management System). Besides, it has also won the
awards and titles of "Model Foreign-invested Business",
"Brand of Shanghai", "New-and-hi-tech Business in
Shanghai", "Model Unit of Environmental Protection in
China", "Model Unit" and "China Environmental
Labeling Product", etc.
